Jolanta Oko the Canada 150 Project Founder has reached out to dancers across Canada, established in a Dance Career to propose the idea of a collaboration.
In December 2017 we will release the FINAL VIDEO to the public showcasing “Dance Careers in the Canadian Landscape.”
It is far too often that we hear from parents that pursuing dance at a post-secondary institution is frowned upon, in that Dance as a subject cannot be made into a career. As a victim of numerous reactions to my chosen career path as a dancer, it was necessary that I be the lead on this project encouraging, inspiring and educating young dancers on the endless possibilities of career choices within the field of dance. At Canada’s National Academy of Dance Education, our approach to training is a “whole dance education” experience. We prepare dancers for a career in dance, NOT a career as a dancer.
WE WILL MODEL OUR DIVERSITY AND PEACEFUL SPIRIT TO ALL NATIONS!
WE WILL UNITE THROUGH THE LANGUAGE THAT WE ALL SPEAK…DANCE!
STAY TUNED…VIDEO WILL BE PUBLISHED SOON!
