Canada’s National Academy of Dance Education has published a variety of curriculum friendly resources that can be easily adapted, modified and used in both dance studio and classroom settings.
COURSE PURPOSE
We have designed a 6 hour* Independent Study Course for each resource that helps dance educators not only better understand its purpose and learning objectives, but also allows educators to try and test each one out in a safe setting, before using them into their classrooms.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This certification is offered as a Independent Study Program. After enrollment students are provided with the course texts, lessons, assignments and resource(s). Students follow along with the lesson plans at their own pace. Students have 90 days from enrollment to complete the course and submit the assignments and projects.
BENEFITS OF COURSE
After the student has successfully submitted and passed all assignments as per the course expectations, dance educators will not only leave with a certificate acknowledging their participation, but a better understanding of how to adapt, develop and assess their dancers using the said resource.
